Five address books, a dozen exports.
One clean set of contacts.

ContactAttic imports your vCard (.vcf) and CSV exports — from iCloud, Google Contacts, Outlook and most phones — and merges them into one de-duplicated address book, each person as a single entry with their numbers and emails combined, all on your own computer.

Runs entirely on your computer — nothing is uploaded, ever
Who it's for

Made for anyone with contacts in too many places

For the scattered

One person, one entry

The same friends split across two phones, a work account and an old SIM export. ContactAttic gathers every copy into one address book on your own computer and merges the duplicates, so each person shows up once — with every phone number and email they've ever had, together in a single entry. No cloud, no account.

For the tidy-minded

Clean up the mess

An address book full of doubles, triples and half-complete cards — one entry with the mobile, another with the email, a third with just a birthday. ContactAttic folds them together into one complete card per person and gives you a report showing exactly how many were merged, so you can trust the result.

The process

How it works

1

Point it at your vCards and CSVs

vCard / VCF files and contact CSV exports (both the Google and Outlook layouts), phone and account exports, old address-book backups, or a whole folder of them — ContactAttic reads them all and picks the right reader for each file, unpacking zips and archives as it goes. Your originals are opened read-only and never touched.

2

It merges everyone into one entry each

ContactAttic groups the entries that are the same person and merges them — combining the phone numbers, emails and details from every copy into a single card — and removes the duplicates. Nothing distinct is thrown away: if two cards genuinely look like different people, they stay separate. Not happy with a run? A Cancel button stops it before anything is written, leaving your existing archive untouched.

3

You get one clean address book

A single standard contacts.vcf you can import into any phone or app, plus a structured .jsonl copy and a report of exactly what was merged and what came from where. Find more contacts later? Point ContactAttic at the same archive again and it folds in only what's new.

Why it exists

Built by someone who needed it

One person, five phone numbers, three cards.

ContactAttic grew out of the same rescue mission as the rest of the Attic family: one person's contacts scattered across a stack of old phones, a couple of accounts and a pile of exported backups — the same friends and family duplicated over and over, each copy holding a different piece of the picture. One card had the mobile, another the email, a third an address that had long since changed.

ContactAttic is the tool that untangled it — matching the entries that are really the same person and combining them into one clean card each — rebuilt so anyone can do it in an afternoon.

Straight answers

Questions people actually ask

Are my contacts uploaded anywhere?

No. ContactAttic is a desktop app. Your contacts never leave your computer — there's no account, no cloud, and we couldn't see them if we wanted to.

How does the merge work?

It groups the entries that are the same person and combines their phone numbers, emails and details into one card, so you get each person once instead of three half-complete copies. A report shows exactly how many entries were merged, and cards that genuinely look like different people are left alone.

What can I do with the result?

ContactAttic writes a standard contacts.vcf you can import straight into any phone, email client or address-book app, plus a structured copy of the same data for anything else you want to do with it. Ordinary files — nothing proprietary.

Subscription?

No. Pay once, own it — updates to the version you buy are free. If a big new version ever ships, upgrading is optional and discounted for owners, and your copy keeps working either way.
